            There are many courses in education field that helps an individual to build up a career in teaching, educating and facilitating related fields. B. Ed i.e., Bachelor’s in Education is one such course that gives bachelors degree to students after training them for two years, although training years varies from college to college and state to state. In the city of Vadodara, situated in Gujarat, India, approximately 11 km from the heart of the city, there is a university providing B. Ed program under school of Liberal Studies and Education. It is the Navrachana University of Vadodara. Navrachana University is NCTE–approved university and provides an updated, broad-based, professional, and practical education in school teaching. Through various techniques, it prepares student for real life classroom experience. A close connection with numerous reputed schools has been established by this university and students of this program are benefitted by it.

             I am Ankita Kelkar. I am a student of 1st year of B. Ed program {batch 2020-22; enrollment no.- 20162004} in this university. I live some 10 km away from this university. Because of the pandemic- COVID19, we attend our classes through online platforms like zoom, MS Teams, etc. We study several compulsory subjects, and one inter-disciplinary subject. We have to select two method subjects specific to our 10+2 and graduation course. My method subjects are science and mathematics. For evaluation, we are given various activities and projects. We prepare presentations, group activities and performances, posters, newsletters, analysis texts, models, assignments, etc. Based on these we are assessed and through the result of these assessments, we are guided by our teachers and mentors to move and grow further in our career.             I am in my first year of B. Ed at Navrachana University, Vadodara. ICT is one of the main subjects in our two-year B. Ed program. ICT - Information and Communication Technology, we use to integrate technology in our teaching- learning curriculum. Audio-Visual aids enhances the learning experiences. There are many ICT tools used in Educational Institutions like desktops/laptops, projectors, printer, Digital Camera, Pen drive, etc. By using these tools efficiently, we prepare learning materials, materials for assessment purpose and interesting revision handouts. Integration of textbook learning and ICT in classroom helps us to keep our student's attention and engagement in the classroom at its best. In our B. Ed program we are given assignments based on ICT to prepare and train us for using technology in an appropriate manner. The assignments done so far in ICT subject are uploaded here.
